Our Mission
FROM THE CELL 2 THE STREETS is a media platform dedicated to spotlighting formerly incarcerated people. We amplify their stories, elevate their skills and businesses, and bridge them to resources, mentors, and second-chance employers. We’re here to replace stigma with opportunity and to turn redemption into a roadmap others can follow.
Through interviews, panels, and on-the-ground storytelling, we offer honest conversation and practical blueprints for reentry—so individuals, families, and communities can heal and build.
TAVON “TOPTHETARGET” OWENS
Tavon Owens is the heart behind FROM THE CELL 2 THE STREETS. As a young man, he was sentenced to 100 years—all but 40 suspended—and served 10 years before successfully winning his time back. That experience forged his purpose: use media, mentorship, and community to make sure others don’t get written off.
Today, Tavon turns pain into purpose—putting a mic and a spotlight on returning citizens, connecting them with opportunity, and shifting the culture around second chances. His story is proof that accountability and growth can coexist—and that people are more than their worst mistake.
